Over the years we have valued the contribution Rothwell Toytown has made to our breeding program. Through a very limited show career, which didn't commence until he was 6 years of age, Toy achieved many impressive wins culminating in  Champion Ridden Pony Stallion at the 2002 Sydney Royal before being retired to stud. Already his progeny have achieved great successes in-hand.

Bred to carry saddles his progeny are also consistently being sashed as Royal Show, HOTY & Grand National winners & placegetters including Westlake Gold Label, Bayview Midnight Jazz, Westlake Hummingbird, CT Modern Man, Westlake Everlasting, Heatherbrae Never Forget, CT Somethin' Special, Westlake Grand Affair,  Nottingham Fine Print, Westlake Living Doll to name just a few.

Rosedale Tempting

We were fortunate in 2006 to welcome young sire Rosedale Tempting to Carlingford Park on loan from Rosedale Stud in South Australia. Simon boasts an impeccable pedigree being by Fairly Tempest (imp) out of the magnificent and highly decorated mare Colbeach Simone (imp). The image of his mother, this beautiful stallion was Yearling of the Year at the SA Riding Pony Show, Supreme Riding Pony at the Queensland Riding Pony Show, Reserve Champion RP Stallion or Colt at Canberra Royal, Supreme Riding Pony at Mt Gambier Ag, and second in the yearling colt class at Adelaide Royal.  Shown once as a two year old, he won the colt class at Brisbane Royal in 2003 and was Champion Youngstock Exhibit.

Whilst at stud here at Carlingford Park Simon was an absolute delight to handle, both serving and in day to day husbandry, he was the perfect gentleman and as time has proven he has passed his wonderful personality and temperament onto his foals. We couldn't be happier with his progeny here at the stud.
 
From his earliest crops of foals Simon's beautiful 'Rosedale Concerto' was awarded Champion Colt at 2008 Melbourne Summer Royal at his first outing with Whitemere Prince of Pop winning Best Youngstock at Brisbane Royal in 2008.

Needing no introduction to the show scene Royalwood Boy Soprano has excelled in the showring having been sashed Supreme Champion Riding Pony Exhibit and National Champion on numerous occassions. A son of the exquisite Royalwood Merry Music, by super sire Syon Royal Portrait, Boy Soprano has himself gone on to produce multiple Royal Show and National broad sash winners in his young career as a sire. We have joined our gorgeous Royalwood Songbird to Curly for a '08 foal and can't wait to meet the result of this exciting cross of two Royal Show Supreme Champions.

Weston Park Mahogany

Eyarth Sama (imp) x Weston Model (SOD: Rotherwood Acrobat)
Weston Park Mahogany was purchased from Weston Park stud, selected for his imported Welsh breeding through sire Eyarth Sama (imp) and his strong dam line in the way of the great producing mare Weston Model (sire Rotherwood Acrobat). Through only four coverings his foals have inherited his lovely ears, extreme front and sweet, albeit cheeky personality. He has gone on to be shown by his new owner Marg Withnall with huge success including being awarded Supreme Champion Exhibit at the Australian Saddle Pony Nationals in 2008.

Sire of our irreplaceable Carlingford Park Socialite, his first offspring to hit the show ring, who already has impressive placings to her credit. From limited outings to date Satine has picked up placings in her four registrations at Royal level, was sashed Reserve Champion Junior Filly at the NSW State Riding Pony Show, and been sashed Supreme Champion Led Exhibit at All Breeds level on multiple occassions. We are very excited at the propsects of her saddle career in the coming years.

CP Intrigue, also sired by Mahogany, kicked off his saddle career in late January 09 taking all before him to earn himself Champion Pony Hack twice and Reserve Champion at his first three outings ... not to bad at all for his first five show appearances.
